As the superpowered Iron Man, this has been reflected in many high-tech armors that are constantly pushing the limits of science. But with the Bleeding Edge armor that first debuted in Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca"s Invincible Iron Man #25 during Marvel"s Heroic Age, Tony Stark self-admittedly moved beyond the realms of science và firmly planted himself in science-fiction.
Now, we"re going lớn take a closer look at the Bleeding Edge armor, which already jumped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War. The story of this incredibly advanced armor begins with Warren Ellis và Adi Granov"s 2006 Iron Man run, which introduced the Extremis virus. Extremis was created as a super-soldier serum that essentially rewrote the brain"s repair center, and allowed for powerful upgrades khổng lồ the body toàn thân that ultimately integrated Tony Stark completely with his armor that effectively made his entire body part of Iron Man.

Tony"s Repulsor Tech had powered his suits -- along with the electromagnet that kept his heart going -- for years. Due to lớn the enhanced connection from the Extremis serum, the R.T. As Tony Stark himself described it, the suit was composed of "neurokinetic user-controlled morphologic nanoparticle bundles" that created "a fibrous wetweb of iron and platinum" that was stored in the marrow of Tony"s bones và powered by the R.T. Node in his chest.
Some of the quality capabilities of this new armor were Tony"s ability to subtly use it lớn affect his everyday life, such as the time he used the liquid metal lớn coat his eyeball in order to enhance his vision, or when he used the armor lớn instantly protect himself during a failed thử nghiệm run of an R.T. After Stark"s relapse into alcoholism during Fear Itself kicked off a series of manipulations by the Mandarin, Ezekiel Stane and Justine Hammer, Stark was considered unfit to lớn pilot such a dangerous and powerful suit of armor. Avengers: Endgame didn’t focus on Iron Man’s armor in the slightest, despite it being the 85th version, while the Avengers: Infinity War version was the 50th. Iron Man tinkered around a lot with his suits, và the latest ones were part of the “Bleeding Edge” suite.

While we can never be certain if the Bleeding Edge armor in the MCU had the same capabilities as the comics iteration, we can still danh sách all the things the suit could do. The comics version is much more sturdy, as the nanofragments don’t just break apart, and instead repair themselves without any limits. While the repair itself isn’t instantaneous, it doesn’t take more than a few seconds at most for the nanoparticles to form again.
You might wonder why Tony would need cameras in the armor if he has an A.I. Available within it; that would be because even the A.I. Isn’t fast enough to lớn communicate lớn Iron Man about instant threats. The Bleeding Edge armor was installed with additional cameras all around the armor lớn give Tony a complete view of his surroundings.
He could have his sights dead straight on the sky, but still have a panoramic view of everything happening around. These were called “eyeballs”, since the cameras meant Tony was functionally all-seeing to lớn every event happening within his vicinity.
The one villain fans agree will always have Iron Man’s number is Magneto, since the antagonist"s powers are literally to lớn destroy what Iron Man wears for his source of strength. However, Tony’s not a genius for nothing, và he even had the Bleeding Edge armor become immune khổng lồ Magneto’s abilities.

This was done specifically for a battle against Magneto, where Tony sensed he would be at a disadvantage, và replaced the armor’s iron composites with nanotubes made out of carbon.
